With over 19 years of commercial law practice experience, Joel Donahoe represents small/medium-sized businesses and individuals with contract negotiation and formation, as well as litigation and alternative dispute resolution. The focus of his practice includes Corporate / Business Law, Labor & Employment, Construction Law, and Real Estate.
Joel strives to protect his clients' interests and help solve their legal issues efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner reasonably available. He has extensive experience in all aspects of business contracts, from negotiation and preparation through dispute resolution. Joel also is an experienced commercial litigator, having served as lead counsel in numerous trials, arbitrations and appeal proceedings.
Prior to opening his own practice in July 2014, Joel worked as an attorney for over thirteen years with James E. Toothman & Associates in Los Gatos, California. He counseled and performed legal services for company clients in all areas of business, including contracts, entity formation, corporate compliance, employment, trademark protection, collections and strategy.
Joel graduated from UCLA in 1995 with a BA in Political Science, and from UC Davis School of Law in 1998 with a Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, Joel clerked for both the Solano County Superior Court and the United States Attorney's Office in Sacramento, California.
